At First Light: Defining a Word Through Fine Art

I'm using this blog post to bring attention to the fine art world on Etsy by choosing one word and posting how different artists present it through their work. This week I have made the executive decision to look at only the photographers who have shops on Etsy.

If I were to throw the word "landscape" out at you, what would you think of? Chances are there are trees, rolling hills, maybe a swing in that tree, lots of grass, a few horses ... oh and maybe a water feature. Well, that's what I kind of come up with. I bet it's a summer scene, too.

Wikipedia says this: Landscape comprises the visible features of an area of land, including the physical elements of landforms, water bodies such as rivers, lakes and the sea, living elements of land cover including indigenous vegetation, human elements including land uses, buildings and structures, and transitory elements such as lighting and weather conditions.

Well you and I both know that a landscape can be so much more than that. Let's see what I find from the artists on Etsy.
