Defining a Word Through Fine Art

I'm using this blog post to bring attention to the fine art world on Etsy by choosing one word and posting how different artists present it through their work. This week I have made the executive decision to look at only the photographers who have shops on Etsy.

A sunflower is a well-known flower, and a vegetable. Sunflowers attract birds, and people can eat their seeds and use the flower's oil for cooking. There is a lot to learn about this diverse plant, including the variety of species and growing instructions.
Uses: American Indians had multiple uses for sunflowers in the past, such as in bread, medicinal ointments, dyes and body paint.
Varieties: Sunflowers can be anywhere from 2 to 20 feet. Some have flowers that look like daisies blooming. Most sunflowers have one large bloom, but some varieties have more than one head.
